At E.a. Wells Hair Design, we make it a mission to give back to our community every chance we get. When the pandemic hit in 2020, we decided that we wanted to find a way to do more and to support other local small businesses like ours.

Hi, I'm Elyse!
I started my business on my 18th birthday selling paintings I made in my free time. I continued to run and grow it throughout college and graduate school, and now I'm keeping up with it while also attending law school full-time at Duke University.
Pretty much all of my time is spent on schoolwork and running this business, but I wouldn't have it any other way! Learning and growing through this business has truly been among the most rewarding experiences I've had, and I'm extremely excited to continue to expand it in the future!

Imladris Farm is established on the site of Walter's great-grandparents subsistence farm. Located in the farming community of Fairview, North Carolina and dating back to a land grant from the late 1700's, the farm still includes and makes use of several of the old farm buildings, the original springs, and tools inherited from family. The birth of Andy, our son, began the seventh generation of our family’s presence on this farm.
Imladris is fully committed to the idea that sustainability is not only important for the customer's sake, but also for the farmer's. Rather than evaluating our methods on whether they make use of a list of organically approved chemicals, we actively seek out products that can be successfully grown without man-made additives. We produce all of our fertilizer here on the farm, as a by-product of our rabbit meat operation and our compost piles, we control pests through trapping, not spraying, we work to maintain optimum soil quality through addition of various amendments produced as by-products here on the farm, and we control weeds through good, old-fashioned hand weeding.

We made Naternal because our families use these products and we couldn’t find a brand delivering the quality we expect from any other health and wellness products company. Since we live in Research Triangle Park, NC, a global life science innovation center, it was easy for us to envision how we could do things differently and better.
We partnered with local farmers who use the practices we know and trust. We hired a team with degrees from places such as Duke, UNC and NC State. We turned a science lab into a state-of-the-art cannabis manufacturing facility. And we brought in two of the world’s top natural product experts to formulate our product line.

We met when we became neighbors and our 3 kids became instant friends. After just a few months we knew we wanted to go into business together. We discussed so many different ideas and ended up merging them all into one to start Moonlight Makers on February 2nd 2015!
We built our website, bought and renovated our short bus and hit our first festival that May. We have spent weekends going to Events and Shows with the bus ever since! Online orders kept us busy shipping during the week, screen printing on our kitchen counters kept us busy at night. We started drawing more and more designs and launched our brand into the wholesale market.
During Christmas 2016 we hosted a Seasonal Pop-Up Shop in Downtown Asheville, NC and we loved the feeling of having a store! We hired our first help, took our screen printing setup out of our kitchens, our warehouse out of our basements and fell completely in love with having a location and a growing team. On Halloween 2017 we moved across the street into gorgeous, old photography studio. As of Spring 2021 our products are in 1000+ Stores Across the Globe, we have 300+ fun designs, we love custom printing, we screen print everything to order by hand and we now have 6 kids between us!
Life is busy and full, we love love love what we do and we hope you do too :)

Calvin's Craft makes the most eco-friendly dog treats on the planet. Sustainably made with up cycled brewers grains from local craft breweries and packaged in recyclable aluminum beer cans because they are more sustainable than plastic pouches and will not end up in a landfill.
Our main ingredient is recycled spent grain (barley, rye, oat, etc.) We consulted with veterinarians to develop these nutritious dog treats. Our clean-label treats use only a handful of simple high-quality ingredients and do not contain any artificial fillers or preservatives. Best of all, dogs LOVE our crunchy treats.
We are animal lovers at heart and that's why we donate 15% to animal rescue groups all over the country.

U.S. Barista Champions, Kyle Ramage and Lem Butler, brought their dream and passion to life in the form of Black & White Coffee Roasters in 2017. They started with a vision to be more than just quality coffee roasters and aimed to change the competitive landscape, not by being “better” than competitors, but by pushing the craft forward through collaboration.
Our coffee sourcing and roasting experience comes from over a decade of studying coffee processing first hand from coffee producers all over the world; understanding coffee consumers through years of experience working in cafes; working for a large coffee roasting company as a wholesale account manager; experience as a coffee equipment manufacturer sales and tech rep; and volunteering, competing in coffee competitions all over the world.
It is our journey, and the community we’ve built along the way that makes Black & White Coffee possible. Understanding that none of this would be possible without fostering great relationships, and continuing to pay that generosity forward is what shaped B&W’s core values: service, community and excellence. This is how we approach our mission of “Exceptional Coffee Kept Simple”.
